Thread: The idiocy of Cinergy

    I think I posted on here about the ridiculous bill we got from Cinergy right after we returned from Spain.

    Total due on the estimated bill was in excess of $700. Yep. $700 for one month.

    I called and arranged a special meter reading, and of course the person didn't show. So after a few um, heated conversations, I finally called in the reading myself.

    That resulted in the entire amount being wiped out, and we had a credit of $24.

    Last week the guy came and read the meter, and today we got an actual bill (rather than an estimate). $8.44.

    <font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">During the coldest four months last year, my tenant's gas bill increased 77%. My bill saw no signficant increases.

    I'm not blaming Cinergy for this wackiness, but I haven't been able to rule it out, either.
